worry
Worry
A virtue of fools
God calls
He loves His rogue sons
Happy go lucky
He is gona sort you out
oops shout when you jerk around
but don't stop men!
keep going
a carefree style
laugh at you when you mess
nothing too serious
relax and watch ball
have fun and give thanks
for the small things of life
laugh at the gals with the boys of course
but hey watch out
focus
keep going
laughter is always a concealed pair

Whats up buddy
Am kinda glad that i live today and not in the times Jesus.Thats a contentious statement of course.
Today in the staff fellowship we studied John the baptist. His mum and Mary were pregnant at the same time.Thats a poiter that maybe they grew up in the same click of buddies.I try to figure that Jesus being a boyhood friend and a cousin it must have been so hard for John to conceptualize the position of the master.
He says an amazing thing in Mat 1 am not worthy to untie the thongs of his shoe.Who my cousin!i really sympathise with his position to understand his mission.
John did not have the coolest ride in town,in fact he stayed in the forest in a skin and ate locust and honey.Yet Jesus said he was the biggest. What a statement. But i ask he died young at the helm of his ministry his disciples probably followed Jesus and he was in prison and beheaded worse it is not recorded Jesus going to see him in prison. But their is something sweet about fulfilling God's purpose.Sometimes it may not be so clear a bit confusing like this guy when he sents his disciples to go ask Jesus if he was the one who was to come..read mat 11.
The standards of success are challenged a lot. There are many heros of christianity who are unsung who have sacrificed quite a lot for the faith but the media have no space for them.Praise God that Jesus said John was the greatest ,it is sad the media decides what successful min is but God has different stds.
May God be with you. Have fun and thanks for reading this blog.I would love to hear yor comments and reflections!

Norwegian Pizza
Pizza is the universal dish. Its not so common where i come from. The common student meal was called Stage yote(means a little bit of everything costed about 0.4£).Pizza is quite expensive and thus not popular. But in Norway things are different. My team isaac and i were invited to a pizza treat yesterday by one of our teachers at Hald. They are so kind and free with us.Hola Teachers fra Hald.It was fantastic pizza ,its slowly becoming a favourite dish with ,lots of cheese and ham.
OOh after the treat we landed into a meeting and the preacher said something like..We are so damn cheap i have no clue why God decides to accomplish his mission of saving the world through us.It reminds me of these words from bill Hybels book courageous leadership.
.Prone to wander, lord i feel it....
prone to leave the God i love
i need the daily discipline reading scripture of writing out my prayers in long hand to stay focussed.
The daily discipline of solitude so i can listen to God even though demands of my day screams like wounded animals.
Discipline to bee accountable to people who have the capacity of telling me hard words.
A close humble walk with christ never fails.it strengthens the heart, redirects the will, restrains the ego,and ourifies the motives. In returning and rest shall you be saved:In quietness and in confidence shall be your strength.Isaiah 30:15.

Precious
By now you must know that i love youth work!I just think they are so precious incomparable to a jewel in the society. One bishop in Dormkirken said that teens mind have a sign writen(closed!! for repair) thats why they are so hard to deal with. But i think the point is no one can be mature at 17!who wants anyway. its different from mature at 50.Lets not force youngsters to be too serious with themselves too early coz they will be disillusioned.Their is such a big dillema and job for youth workers.
I met some guy who really inspired me.He American working in Norway with his wife for Young life.He cracked me up by giving me these ideals.
Always earn the right to be heard.
Its a sin to bore people with the gospel especially youths.
Walk with wisdom towards those who are not believers.col 4.15(not its not a caution yet but instruction)
Every kid everywhere for eternity.
Lets pray for all the youth workers as they try to present the gospel in the most understable way to the young people especially the teens who are at a very crucial time for shaping their lives.I want to highlight KSCF kenya secondary schools fellowship. That God may help them in wisdom, strategy and finances to reach the high school students in Kenya in this generation.
hade bra.

Religionenene og hyklere
OOh save my face somebody! thats the cry of church today. The fact that their is a lot of scandals in church does not limit the power of God at work in us.
At the university where Isaack my teammate and i work had a discussion asking whether religion is full of hypocrites. At first i though the word full was a overstatement but upon distinction that christianity is not a religion as such but about being a follower of Jesus then i think religion is full of hypocrites.Men trying to please God.
I complicated the discussion further by asking. Why is it over the history of christianity it has had very obvious dark history of crusades,Spanish massacre in South America to catholisize everyone. The pope apologized for the dark years of christian history! I have a whole story of the many mistakes missionaries have done all over the world by making their cultures synonymous with the gospel .Communities robbed of their cultures and dignity in the name of civilization which was tied by a christian wrapping.
Too much of that.I think God is not interested in saving the face of christianity either. He propagated it through very infamous guys like David in their records,Paul was a bit scary choice if i would have sat at the appointing committee of the world eveangelists.Moses was not any better cause he had a court case of manslaughter you know. Then i bet God is not upto to saving His face.He is making a statement guys.
It is all about Him not about us.We are weak and desparately in need of a saviour.2nd Cor4:7..we have this treasure in earthen vessels...The status of the vessel does not dillute the relevance of the message. It is a house under consruction, its always messy but wait until its done we shall all be amazed by its dazzling beuty.Thats our faith!

Jesus Freak
Many young guys here in Norway and the states would probably agree that dc Talk have a great album called Jesus freak. At first i laughed when i heard that song. This being my 6th week in Norway i agree tha dcTalk had insight. The question what will my friends think when they know am a Jesus freak makes sense. It is a legitimate question. It calls for sacrifice and the willingness to follow b4 you have all the details of the trip knowing that the leader owns the world and even friends are part of the world he owns.
This question in Kenya does not arise all the time and as strongly as it does here.We are highly inclusive and the term friends is so broad that it can almost taake care of a whole community. If anyone comes he is welcome to join in the party and the outing and have fun with every one.It is so hard to join in when the term friends is so narrow to only include those guys who can wash your dirty linen. Our calling is to challege what is cultural but not beneficial to the christian agenda. If more of us were inviting and allowing strangers to dine with them then christianity would be admirable in the west.More people would join in without fear of alienation especially in schools and in big congretions.
I attended my first wedding here anbd it had like 60 people and some commented it was a big wedding. It was so cool and beutifully adorned.Across in the street was a big poster advertising a movie called Wedding Crashers.I posed and thought that this title would not making sense in Africa because everyone is invited to be a guest in any wedding so who is the wedding crasher.Thats the extremitities of inclusion.

Why football is cool!
To the girls, this is why we watch foota at times and hats off to all who are fans! I wona give a very good reason just now.Huh
This weekend i was visiting a small town in Norway where am gonna work for like 10 months. While driving it was really fun with a car full of young guys talking about all things you know! The sight of nature here at Norway fascinates me all the time the sight of water everywhere is just great.Something funny happened at a startoil when we had a break to check on gas.I got out and i had a strange feeling of being in anew place.I felt so helpless all at once.I wondered what on earth am i doing here.I cant locate the direction to Othaya(small town in Kenya where the president kibaki and i come from) Its tammacked everywhere like stavanger by the way! I thought it is cool and the system are working almost all students have cars but i want home it is strange to me.i want to see some dust and potholes weird! i wona speak kyuk and eat ugali. That was my pace as i entereed stavenger.
I met these guys from the university and when we went to the biblestudy we played fantasy the whole time.Thats was even more strange. But thank God because of football! This guy had a big tv and a comp and he switched to the english league.he is a tottenham fan and i support arsenal we got something to speak about right then and we had so much fun! There was a game in the town by the city team called VIKINGS. i already new it and was looking forward to see them play.Guess what there is a kenyan player called mambo mumba he is so popular here he scored the only goal that day and the city team won.Wao at first i felt like it is my best friend who scored even though i have not met him b4.That saved the day my friends it is not obvious to talk with new people here it is such a big breakthrough for me and my team mate.
Good day.

Nature
This weekend was Fanstastic. We spent the wkd in a forest camping site, having night fires daily. It was interesting to be out of town and experience the beuty of nature.God is so interesting He is an awesome creator God.
One of the interesting thing we had to do was to learn to trust others ie climb some steep rocky place blind folded.Unless you are sure that the leader you are following will lead to the right place then it is so hard to follow, but with the assurance and trust it becomes a lot easier.
I couldn't believe that i can fall backwards and trust some gals to hold me from such a high place. But i had to do that.It was a funny feeling to be out of control but once you land in their hands you want to do it again and again. That was a typical example of faith it is hard to trust but once you do it you realize that God had all the good intentions.
The teachers made sure we have no watches and phones for the whole weekend and we only knew the immidiate thing b4 us.It is not funny to be out of control but once you know the one holding you is safe then you can enjoy the ride!I had chance to speak at the camp fire and was interesting. It was so good to relate Gods message and all those experience since we are called to step out of what is familiar and see what God has for us yonder.
stay lovely

Traditions
Today at Hald school we visited one of the oldest Norwegian churches,it is about 200 yrs a magnificent piece of art made of wood alone. The sad thing is that being a state church it has a membership of 9000 but only 2% show up.
Am so encouraged by the fact they know things are not ok and are moving in the correct direction especially to bring the young people back.To be a priest you have to study for 7 yrs about 1 yr more than a doctor.Thank God that the govt is doing so much.Lets join in prayer for those guys and all christian workers in this country ,a lot is happening right now.
All international students were very shocked to see all people in the town are buried next to the church. No one wants the dead in their gardens so God can have them! All people wants to be buried in a holy ground so church is very nice.No wondere it attracts mostly the old. This ia avery sending missionary church so we all have an obligation to pray for them they are doing so much for the world especially the south poor countries.

Handsome
Sleepy wrote a comment on this page which inspired me think a bit more.it is amazing how gals can see and think beuty. She says she thinks Jesus must be a very handsome irresistible guy and can not wait to go home and see Him.Go for it gal!
some kid thought that christian stuff is dreary and unispiring.Perish the thought and lets think! Christianity is not boring it is living life to the fullest.it is not irrelevant it transforms the whole of our lives.this guy was both liberal and extremely pious.this is a very exciting description by Lord chancellor Hailsham.
The first thing we must learn about him is that we should have been absolutely entranced by his company.Jesus was irrestibly attractive as aman...What they crucified was ayoung man, vital, full of life and the joy of it,the lord of life itself, and even more the lord of laughter, someone so utterly attractive that people followed him for the sheer fun of it...the twentieth century needs to recapture the vision of this glorious and happy man whose mere presence filled his companions with delight. No pale galilean he ,but a veritable pied piper of hamelin who would have the children laughing around him and squealing with pleasure and joy as he picked them up.
One boy was drawing a pic and the mom asked, what are you doing? Am drawing Gud(norsk name for God). She retortd you are silly no one knows how He looks like! The boy answered they will know by the time i will have finished! Actually God walked among us in The form of that interesting guy described above so we know him and can feel and touch he lives within us.
John 10:27 My sheep hear my voice and i know them, and they follow me:And i give them eternal life;and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.My father who gave them to me,is greater than than all,and no man is able is able to pluck them out of my father's hand .I and my father are one.
